Who Margaret Works With & Margaret's Approach

Margaret Ross, MSW, LCSW

Margaret is dedicated to serving individuals, couples, and families in need of mental health support to foster increased well-being and improve overall functioning. She provides compassionate, evidence- based care by utilizing approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, humanistic/person-centered, and mindfulness-based interventions. Margaret also considers the role larger systems, from families and communities, to society as a whole, play in mental health symptoms and recovery. She uses these techniques to provide an individualized action plan for her clients to work towards change and by connecting with a person-in-environment approach.

Margaret believes that collaboration is imperative when identifying treatment goals and ideal outcomes; she encourages clients to engage in reflection and exploration to clarify what they hope to gain from therapy. She meets clients as they are with non-judgment and offers support and guidance to increase clients’ self-worth and agency. She also works closely with couples in every stage of their relationship and is trained in the Gottman Method for Couples and Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Please contact Margaret to find out more about her approach and to schedule an intake appointment to get started.
