Who Debra Works With and Debra's Approach

Debra Mulcahy, BS.

Debra's warm, compassionate personality has led her to the field of mental health therapy where she believes that we all have the ability to make positive change with the right unconditional support. This sometimes includes looking beyond friends and family to a trusted therapist or mental health counselor who can hear your concerns without judgment. It includes finding someone who accepts you for who you are while you work on your goals to become an even healthier, happier, thriving version of yourself.

Debra has found that, in addition to her education, her extensive trainings in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems work has helped her clients recover from past trauma, anxiety disorders and panic attacks, Borderline Personality symptoms, codependency and boundary setting. She also enjoys her ongoing work helping people embrace their true identity, authentic selves, and empowered lives, which include her work with women, men, millennials and LGBTQ+. Debra also enjoys her work with new moms, blended family issues, or parents dealing with children with special needs.

Additionally, she has found her expert training in Gottman Method for couples and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) has helped her with couples counseling for same-sex, cohabitating, dating, or married couples who are working through relationship issues such as infidelity, communication breakdown, trust issues, or other relationship counseling issues or unresolved marital problems.

Please contact Debra to find out more about her approach and to schedule an intake appointment and get started today.
