Krista Knowles is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHI) in the state of Florida. She works exclusively with clients in the Orlando area in private practice at Orlando Thrive Therapy, Coaching and Counseling.
Krista specializes in individual therapy with adults struggling with trauma, eating disorders, relationship issues, depression, and anxiety. Krista also has a special interest group in working with vegans on these issues. Her unique perspective on activism and empathy for all living creatures provides a safe space for her clients seeking support for all lifestyle choices they are exploring. Krista also sees women and men who have achieved high levels of external success but may have lost a sense of connection to their internal self. Her ability to help them challenge the ideals of perfectionism and self-criticism gives way to roadblocks that prevent them from enjoying their success on a deeper, more meaningful level.
Krista shares the passion of Orlando Thrive Therapy, Coaching and Counseling in her integrative approach to the treatment of mind and body for anxiety, mood issues, and trauma resolution. She uses a variety of modalities in her therapy sessions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), guided meditation, yoga and breathwork, and the 8-dimension wellness model. Her approach to therapy is all-inclusive of the entire person, for long-term relief, not just short-term symptom management.
Please contact Krista if you would like to have a consultation to see if you might be a good fit.
Note about insurance: Orlando Thrive Therapy, Coaching and Counseling is a self-pay practice, so we do not accept insurance. Krista offers a sliding scale fee and her rates are comparable to what you might pay with a co-pay. Please inquire about this as an option at the time of your consultation as these spaces are limited.
When you schedule your first session, you will be sent a link to complete electronic paperwork. The first session will focus on getting to know one another and identifying your goals for therapy. This will help to determine your overall plan and how often you will need to meet for therapy. Krista prides herself on offering a warm, non-judgmental, and comfortable space where healing and growth can occur naturally.
Krista’s rates for a 50-minute therapy session are based on the service you receive. She offers reduced rate sessions on a limited basis. Please ask about this as an option during your initial consultation. Payment is due at the time of session.
