Past Trauma Therapy

Orlando Thrive Therapy, Coaching & Counseling offers therapy to individuals that want to work through obstacles or trauma from the past. Our counselors offer a variety of services to clients dealing with past sexual abuse, family addictions, catastrophic events, troubling memories of the past, and current negative behaviors associated with trauma.

When an individual has experienced any type of trauma in their lives, this can impact them in a number of ways. Many people are able to move forward without reliving the event, but others can not. Oftentimes, the mind will relive the traumatic events, creating problems in relationships, physical health issues, employment issues, and difficulty managing roles withing the family, the job, or other types of relationships.

At Orlando Thrive Therapy, our counselors often treat clients that have been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD.) This personality type is often characterized by a history of childhood trauma or neglect, and is associated with acts of self-harm (ex. cutting), difficulty maintaining healthy relationships, and suicidal thoughts or gestures. Many clients with Borderlines Personality Disorder respond quiet well to a treatment called Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and finding a therapist with experience in dealing with trauma is important.

If you are struggling with past hurt or trauma and would like to talk to someone about it, contact our Orlando Thrive Therapy office today for a 100% confidential 15-20 free phone consultation or by emailing orlandothrivetherapy@gmail.com.
