Tristan Marcus is a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern (RCSWI) in the state of Florida. She works exclusively with clients in the Orlando area in private practice at Orlando Thrive Therapy, Coaching, and Counseling's Downtown Orlando location.
Tristan uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach to empower clients to become the best versions of themselves. She believes all clients deserve to feel safe and accepted while on this journey. Tristan is certified as an Animal-Assisted Therapy Interventionist, which has led to her becoming a certified therapy team with her dog, Maya. She uses the dynamics of the human-animal bond to help clients process difficult emotions, alleviate stress, and improve their overall well-being. Tristan enjoys working with clients from all walks of life, but especially those who may find traditional talk therapy to be intimidating and young adults struggling with life transitions.
Tristan also uses other evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Gottman Therapy for Couples, and Mindfulness-Based interventions during therapy sessions. She works with individuals seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, life changes, trauma, co-dependency issues, and ADHD. Tristan also works with couples interested in improving their communication skills and working together on the same team.
Please contact Tristan to find out more about her approach and to schedule an intake appointment to get started.
Note about insurance: Orlando Thrive Therapy, Coaching, and Counseling is a self-pay practice, so we do not work with any insurance companies directly. Tristan offers individualized treatment plans which incorporate a unique combination of expert psychotherapy, mindfulness, CBT, couples intervention techniques, and lifestyle coaching. Her rates are based on the services you receive based on your unique circumstance.
When you schedule your first session, you will be sent a link to complete electronic paperwork. The first session will focus on getting to know one another and identifying your goals for therapy. This will help to determine your overall plan and how often you will need to meet for therapy. Tristan can also incorporate the use of Animal-Assisted therapy at your request. Your session will be individualized just for you to achieve the results for personal growth you are seeking.
Tristan’s rates for a 50-75 minute therapy session are based on the service you receive and will be discussed during your initial contact. Payment is based on the services requested.
Tristan received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Central Florida. Her clinical experience prior to private practice included working with clients in the inpatient setting providing individual assessments, and group therapy. She also provided personalized therapy to adults suffering from major mental health disorders, anxiety issues, grief, trauma, and depression. She is currently a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern with the state of Florida. Tristan is also certified as an Animal-Assisted Therapy Interventionist and a therapy team with her dog, Maya.
